COT 2010 is here and Member Update
June 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
| Cornerstones of Trust 2010 is on June 29, 2010 this year. The call for papers is now closed and we have an amazing line up of speakers for you including two terrific keynotes from Mark Weatherford, CISO for State of California and Brandon Dunlap, MD for Research at Brightfly. If you haven't already, please hurry up and register as an attendee or a sponsor because the seats are limited and they are going fast. Please find sponsorship and other details below. Please also take a moment of pass the word along to your fellow security professionals who may be interested.
There won't be any monthly chapter meeting in June due to COT. We will resume in July with another interesting topic and speaker at one of our best locations - McAfee. An updated announcement with location, topic and speaker bio will be sent out soon.
Also, as some of you may know our own Glenn Tenney, an active member of the SV-ISSA community is running for a Director position on the ISSA International Board. On behalf of the SV-ISSA board, I'd personally like to request you all to vote for Glenn.
Best Regards,
Phoram Mehta
SV ISSA Communications Director
Weathering the Storm
The Cornerstones of Trust 2010 conference helps security leaders and security practitioners Weather the Storm - whether it is seen as the deluge of information, services in the cloud, bot-nets with advanced persistent threats or the waves of regulatory and compliance requirements. Are we seeing the rainbow after the rain, or are we in the eye of the hurricane. Organizations need to forecast trends and develop responses to the challenges like increasing cost pressures, rising security complexity, evolving threat landscape and emerging technology disruptors.
Please join us on June 29th, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City for the Cornerstones of Trust 2010 Conference. Co-hosted by ISSA's Silicon Valley and San Francisco Chapters and the San Francisco Bay Area InfraGard.
